At the beginning of the 2023-2024 season, our Yatton team merged with Clevedon to make us bigger and stronger together and most importantly to keep as many boys as possible playing rugby . From the very start of the season the boys from the two clubs came together brilliantly and came up with our team's name, the Yatton and Clevedon "YaCs". We play in yellow, blue and black shirts to represent the colours of both Yatton and Clevedon clubs. We have a team culture that is built on respect and inclusivity and being part of our local communities, we have boys that have been with us all the way through from U7's and then boys that have only come to rugby more recently and we are always very happy to welcome new players to come and join us. As a merged team, we have a strong coaching group to support player development, we train on Wednesday evenings and then typically play matches on Sunday mornings and rotate between Yatton and Clevedon clubs for training and home matches.
Last season the team performed well in the Somerset Cup, the Combination Cup and in the Winscombe sevens tournament. The "YaCs" went on tour to Hereford and played some great rugby against Luctonians and Hereford. Now, as an U15s side, the team is looking to build on the successes of last season in the Somerset League.
